How do I connect my Health Provider with Human API?
You will need a Patient Portal access to connect your doctor's office or Health system with Human API.
What is a Patient Portal?
A patient portal is an online tool health professionals (doctors and Health system) use to host electronic medical records of a patient (user). The user must be able to locate their provider in our network and have an operational patient portal account for HAPI to access their EHR and provide these records to Insurance companies or other organization they want to connect with.
I don't have a Patient portal, what is the next step?
Human API cannot help you connect if you don't have a patient portal. You can check with your doctor's office and ask if they give online access to your medical data. If they have a portal, they can help you setup and give access to your data.
If you Doctor or Health system has a patient portal, you can email the portal link to firstname.lastname@example.org and our team can check if the provider is supported.
If your Doctor or Health system doesn't have a patient portal, contact your insurance or organization you want to send your medical records to and they can provide the next step.
What if I don't want to connect my Patient Portal?
No problem, If you don't feel comfortable connecting your patient portal with us. You can contact your insurance or organization you want to send your medical records to and they can provide the next step.
Does Human API offer access to Dentist, Chiropractor, Psychologist, or Physiotherapist records?
No, Human API does not currently have Dentists, Chiropractors, Psychologists, or Physiotherapists in our data network.
What if my provider is not supported?
If your provider is not supported you cannot connect your health data through Human API at this time.
Will I get a copy of my medical record?
If you'd like to see the data you connected, sign up for My Human API in the Connect experience or by registering at https://my.humanapi.co.
What username and password should I enter to connect my provider through Human API?
You should enter the username and password you use on your provider’s portal to access your medical account. Any other credentials will not work.
I visit more than one medical provider, can I connect multiple providers?
Yes, you can connect multiple providers, just click the “Add new connection” button after you've added your first source, then repeat the initial process to connect another provider.
If I don’t have a patient portal for my medical records, how do I get one?
You can create an online profile at your provider’s portal. If you have located your provider in Human API’s service, you can look up the portal URL by clicking Register/Help button.
If I feel there is a discrepancy or error in my EHR/EMR, how do I dispute that?
Human API retrieves your medical records from your provider’s portal, we do not modify any data. If you feel there is discrepancy or error in your data contact your provider directly to have the data corrected.
Where is my “MyChart Activation Code?
In order to find the MyChart Activation Code, you will need to contact your Healthcare provider or search for your Health provider online and search for “Patient Portal”.
This page will provide you instructions to set up your portal. Once you have access and see your data online, use the same portal username and password to connect your provider with us using the invite link provided from your insurance company/agent.
